Five backgrounds, one person

fintechno AI is not an agency. What carries a project — domain knowledge, pricing, delivery, accountability — stays in one pair of hands. What a project needs beyond that comes from domain experts and independents who have already delivered alongside it.

Insurance software rarely fails on technology. It fails on handovers: between the person who understands the product, the person who writes the requirement, the person who calculates the premium, and the person who builds it. Four handovers, each losing something. Here they disappear, because the backgrounds are not spread across five people.

That does not mean everything is built single-handed. Where a project calls for a specialism not claimed here — actuarial work, law, design, a particular platform — it is brought in, from a network of domain experts and independent engineers built up over years. What gets handed over is work, not understanding. The contracting party remains fintechno AI GmbH, and accountability stays with one person — the same one who wrote the proposal.

The backgrounds

  1. 01

    Engineering

Java and Spring in insurance, before it became specification work. The systems later written about were first built by hand.

  2. 02

    Insurance domain

Nine years in core systems: policy administration, premium collection and dunning, commission, claims. End-to-end ownership of a commission system — calculation algorithms, clawback and payout logic, precisely the edge cases where commission systems usually break. Alongside that: replacement of grown legacy portfolios, steering several implementation partners, acceptance testing and defect analysis in production.

  3. 03

    Sales

Licensed insurance agent under § 94 of the Austrian Trade Act. The product was sold personally, not merely specified — a difference that shows in every advisory process you model.

  4. 04

    Pricing

An ongoing doctoral project on pay-per-use pricing and telematics-based risk models. The mathematics behind a tariff is calculated here, not bought in.

  5. 05

    Delivery

MBA. Steering offshore and partner teams, release and delivery management — the experience the scepticism about handovers comes from.
